- About selfexpression - I was thinking to express myself. I thought, I should really jump in this world and have a voice to really express myself. With magazines, you don’t really express yourself; you express a corporate vision, you express the vision of Conde Nast. It’s not really your point of view. You can’t say in the magazine what you really like, it’s all a very political vision. So I thought, maybe I should spend some time and energy to finally have my little voice, and now it’s happening.
- About Italy & Milan - When I’m home in Italy, I don’t need anything, and the best city to go shopping is still Milan. The best selection, most of the clothes are done in Italy, the best place to go shopping is in Italy because you have an incredible selection of everything.
- Rad Hourani: It seems that you are the real Matriarch behind the birth of the fashion blogger fame, after originally suggesting to Stefano and Domenico that they sit the bloggers front row… How did you come up with this idea?
ADR: I was talking with Stefano and Domenico saying that I believe there is a big evolution happening right now from the background. With magazines being so expensive, it was hard to reach the younger audiences and these bloggers were reaching those young people with their sites. I never felt the power of this evolution as much as now.

Most of the time I have quite a clear idea what I want to wear or at least what effect I would like to achieve. But sometimes it's a real battle between me and my wardrobe content which is either getting me annoyed or making me experimenting quite freaky combinations. Still even in those not very decisive moments I choose "outfit pillars" - elements I would not change in different configurations until I say "This is it." My pillars - red, shearling and knits - three of the major trends for the fall, creating so comfortable and cosy feeling that could hardly go wrong. Starting with the first combination.

Дори и в тези нерешителни моменти основно правило е да заложа на базисни елементи, които не бих променила в зависимост от конфигурацията. 1)Alexander McQueen - I admit the first Sarah Burton collection is very beautiful and just in the spirit of the work of McQueen. Still I don't believe that geniuses like him could be repeated, but the succession seem quite good choice so far.
2)Proenza Schouler - Frankly I expected much more and even though I really like Schouler collections, this one is not among my favorites. Only massive necklaces really inspired me.
3)Christopher Kane - another collection that is not in my top 10 as electric colored lace reminds me of cheap Chinese underwear.
4)Pucci - it's too Cavalli, boho chic, but the over-the-knee lace up boots are amazing, I admit. Probably the perfect piece of dramatic boots seen during fashion weeks.
5)Chanel - I liked the collection more than those the last couple of years, especially the tweed suits with hot pants, but isn't it the show not the clothes that place Chanel in Top 10?

When it comes to question of affordable substitutes of the Fall Burberry collection outerwear, I would rather choose the blue zipped coat than the shearling jacket. All faux shearling jackets at affordable prices look good from a glance and quite poor at a closer look, while this coat can be resembled with more decent quality. Still I haven't tried on this Stradivarius coat, but this weekend I'll check it out.

In the latest issue of Vogue Germany Liu Wen stars in eclectic nomadic outfits, styled by Katie Mossman and shooted by Greg Kadel. The best example one could have imagined of nomadic trend. Absolutely in love.
One of my favorite collections the last couple of years is Celine Prefall 2010, which introduced at its best on-the-shoulder wearing of blazers and jackets. It reminds of capes and is so effortless and chic that couldn't be resisted (see the link from Stockholm streetstyle).

First look at the Lanvin for H&M campaign - the initial teaser shooted by David Sims featuring Natasha Poly, Freja and Hannelore Knuts. The fashion show will be held on 2nd November and the collection to be launched in selected stores on 23rd November.
Scarves are one of my favorite accessories for cold days. Once I really hated them until I got so ill that I could't recover for months. Now they are my best warm cosy friend, especially collar scarves, which can be perfect finishing detail of chunky knits or boyfriend blazers.

Whether fashion critics like it or not, the biker chic will be a trend next Spring, and I'm sure that the street will embrace it and transform it in one of the major ones. The biker jacket is the main item, classic or ornamented with spikes and studs as seen in Burberry and Balmain. The biker vest is a new element of eclectic chic combined with a long evening dress as seen in Ackermann or a white maxi skirt as seen in Givenchy.

The sudden beginning of cold autumn really uninspired me. Even my addiction to colors faded during those rainy, gray days. Today I decided to bring finally some color back and mustard was my first choice. Why mustard? Because it's a subdued yellow but in that autumnal way as if resembling the leaves of a tree and because it's warm and cosy without being too eyecatching. The only accessory for my cardi, which I wear as an outerwear, is a leather oversized belt worn at the waist - one of the musts not only for this Autumn, but for next Spring too.

After the end of Spring shows, it's time to evaluate what is new, original and worthy to be seen next season. The sunglasses are taking different shapes - from round frames to designs far beyond imagination (as was seen in Prada and Fendi). The body harness will be quite cool, one of my favorite details seen in Paris (Lanvin and Hermes). The shoes are lowering down, still there are lots of wedges (Prada and Chanel) and very very beautiful heel/wedges interpretations seen in Lanvin. The bags are smaller than we've used to, colorful clutches with predominantly envelope shape. Even variations of a plastic bag were seen in Jil Sander collection.

3) Jil Sander – the best collection that interpreted the fundamentals of fashion — shape, volume, proportion and materials.
4) Gucci – the best collection of Gianini so far.
5) Burberry Prorsum – biker jacket at its best, spikes and studs, tight pants and rock’n’roll.
6) Marc Jacobs – Seventies reloaded, beautiful color combinations, flowers. Rather prefer it to LV collection.
7) Dries Van Noten - stays in the vein of his fall show, which was great, still finding the perfect balance for the spring, light colors, masculine ease and feminine silk shifts with floral print.

"Basically, I didn't want anything natural," Marc Jacobs said "I wanted everything overly stylized." The designer mixed inspiration from Art Deco, Art Nouveau, orientalism as the models with smoothed hair seemed dipped in electric-bright colors — fuchsia, red, jade, purple, orange — and then rolled in glitter.

The mood of the collection is quite relaxed with long flowy pants, loose tunics and popover tops. The colors are predominantly light with much white and some color block combinations; the fabrics are raw and the shapes geometrics. I admit that never fell in love instantly when I see a Celine collection (with the exception of Resort 2011), but when time passes I'm reevaluating and embracing it pure shapes and lines.

It was a question of time Ackermann to prove his genius and his spring collection is a statement in this direction.

I deeply admire the work of Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, for me this is one of the most inspirational, beautiful, edgy still feminine collections for the coming spring. Every single piece is a work of art, a play with materials, proportions and volumes. The shoes are amazing, surely in my Top 10. Elbaz said that he's "not a cool designer, and Lanvin is not a cool brand" - yes, they are far more than cool.
